Abstarct: Abstract Because of the significant impact that fractures have on production and better and more effective extraction from wells, identifying these phenomena is a very important issue. Well imaging tools are one of the first sources of information for studying fractured reservoirs, which enable geologists to They identify significant details in the field of lithology and correlation between the structure of laxyers, the state of underground water flow, identify fractures, faults, laxyers and veins within rock laxyers. Therefore, obtaining such information requires the use of multi-sensory sampling tools such as FMI, which finally shows fractures, faults, etc. in the form of a sinusoidal curve in an image diagram. In this research, two wells from an oil field in the south of Iran have been discussed. In the first stage, the complications in the well were interpreted and identified using GEOLOG software. In the first well, 232 open fractures and 105 closed fractures were observed, and in the second well, no play fractures were observed, and only 2 closed fractures along with 8 deep sections of induced fractures were observed. In the second step, deep sections of these complications were entered into MATLAB software and finally two algorithms were applied on it, the first algorithm was to use the Canny edge detection filter and then apply the Hough transformation operator on it, and the second algorithm was to perform the Hough transformation and then Applying the edge detection filter was Canny. The results obtained from GEOLOG software by the interpreter and the results of FMI interpretation from the oil company for the validation of this research, showed that the sinusoidal curves obtained from the first proposed algorithm can successfully and with high accuracy detect the fractures in the image diagrams. and the second proposed algorithm, as expected, has a reverse function and no desired result.
